There’s something very exciting about taking your kids to New York City for the first time. There is no other place like it in the world. For my children, who live in a small city in the least populated state, taking them to New York was a way to show them the possibilities of the whole wide world.
We saw shows on Broadway, ate in Chinatown, walked the High Line, and of course checked out the Statue of Liberty, FAO Schwartz, and the Empire State Building. We took the subway and ferry, and ate a slice of traditional pizza (and a cannoli, too). Any It was a good visit to New York. We walked around a lot and really enjoyed it all.
Of course, one of the big challenges when visiting New York with your family is finding a suitable place to stay. It’s not easy to find the perfect one for your family, as they are all very compact and expensive. But if you look closely and dig deep, there are some really good options (which I did).
