Wouldn’t it be fun to raise a little genius? From the moment your baby is born, we study them carefully and look for signs of intelligence, hoping that they reach the right milestones. As they grow, we strive to develop their strengths and support them in areas where they need to grow.

But are some babies set up to be better than others based on when they’re born and the names they’re given? World of Card Games used public records and databases to collect the full names, birth months, and zodiac signs of the most intelligent people. This is what they found.

Birth month at the top of the chart

The analysis surveyed more than 1,100 people across STEM and entrepreneurial fields, including inventors, mathematicians, scientists, and business leaders. This includes inventors like Thomas Edison and Sarah Breedlove, and entrepreneurs like Mark Zuckerberg and Michael Bloomberg.

As we enjoy the energy that Leo season brings, it’s timely that August takes the top spot on the Genius chart, followed closely by February and November. More than 100 esteemed individuals on the list were born in each of the last three months.

Birth name at the top of the chart

The study also revealed the most common first names of our greatest thinkers. John topped the list with 18 appearances, followed closely by Mary with 15 appearances. Two examples are John Logie Baird, the innovator of television movies, and Mary Ainsworth, the developer of attachment theory.

Interestingly, famous names such as Charles and Elizabeth were also very common. This suggests a trend towards more traditional, historically based names.

Here’s a complete list to see where your child’s birth month ranks.

What does astrology have to do with becoming a genius?

This is not the only way in which the position of the sun, moon and stars at the time of birth is connected to a person’s life path. In astrology, these signs are often thought to be directly related to events on Earth and to certain personality traits, including intelligence.

Psychic Solas, an experienced astrologer at Psychic Source, explains why it’s no wonder August is at the top of the charts. “Leo is ruled by the Sun, a symbol of leadership, self-confidence, and creative drive. People born in August often exude the confidence to innovate, explore, and lead. It’s no surprise that so many great minds are born under this sign.”

In addition, Solas points out the meaning behind the “frequency” names and how “people like John and Mary hold on to centuries of tradition and resilience.” These names are “archetypes of stability, intelligence, and tradition” and are often reflected in the person who bears them.

Is there really a connection?

In the grand scheme of things, the timing of your baby’s birth or the name you choose doesn’t determine its level of intelligence any more than birth order or other circumstances. No astrological sign or label guarantees the brilliance of genius.

That said, for new parents and parents-to-be, this provides a fun insight into their child’s personality and future potential.
