Interestingly, the baby name with the highest jump in popularity from 2023 to 2024 was “Truce,” rising 11,118 places over 2023. Last year, there were only 227 baby boys named “Truce” in the United States, and let’s be honest…that’s a lot more than you might think, since it was given only six times the year before. Perhaps this name is a derivative of True, made famous by Khloe Kardashian’s little girl. We may have heard this word more often due to recent global news. Either way, this name doesn’t seem to be going away anytime soon.

sincere

This name was the 604th most popular name for boys in the United States last year. Of course, it means “honest” or “genuine,” but who doesn’t value that quality in their fellow human beings, especially their children?

reign

According to SSA, a total of 712 girls and 453 boys were named rulers in 2024. It is not literally a title name such as king or prince, but a dignified name that means “to rule.” And since it clearly sounds like rain, it may have a little extra appeal for parents interested in nature names.

reverie

Reverie wasn’t on the SSA popularity charts, but I can see why this name is gaining popularity now that this genre of baby names has become part of the zeitgeist. Daydreaming means “a state of being happily absorbed in one’s own thoughts or fantasies,” something very pleasant and enjoyable.

More modern virtue baby names
