As an adult Disney fan without children (readers, roll your eyes!), I’m well aware that there are many pros and cons to planning a theme park vacation. With a jam-packed day from ride to ride, kids will never be bored, but with record crowds throughout the year, price hikes each time of year, and the need to plan ahead for every precious moment, it’s understandable that you’ll want to give up before you book a single ticket.
So if popular theme parks and attractions are cost-prohibitive, or the thought of creating a spreadsheet to plan your vacation makes you want to cry, don’t worry. The United States is full of family-friendly hotels and resorts with amenities and attractions that kids of all ages will love, including characters, churros, and coasters.
